Festival Internacional Instinto

Instinto's mission is to promote contemporary dance in Honduras, creating a space for artists to meet, train, and showcase their work. Through stage performances, workshops, discussions, and strategic partnerships, Instinto fosters the growth of the contemporary dance scene and promotes public access to new forms of creation, expression, and embodied thought.

Training

The festival aims to strengthen the ongoing training of dancers and dance enthusiasts by offering workshops led by national and international artists. These workshops foster the exchange of knowledge and practices, enriching the physical vocabulary and expanding the expressive and creative possibilities of participants, both those with formal training and those who are self-taught.

Presentations

Instinto is conceived as an active platform for showcasing theatrical works by international guests. Through a tour of secondary schools, universities, and strategic venues for engaging diverse audiences, it fosters encounters with new publics, promotes access to unconventional performance art, and invigorates the presence of the body in unconventional and performance spaces. This outreach aims to decentralize art and position dance as an accessible, critical, and transformative language.

Conversations

The Instinto talks will be a meeting place for the artists performing in the tour, offering a space for analysis and conversation about creative processes, the conditions of the arts sector, and the relationship between body and territory. Through this conversation, a shared narrative is built between audiences and creators, fostering the development of a more conscious, informed, and contextually connected artistic community.
